Amanda Holden was officially the most glamorous (and coldest) person on the tube tonight after she was forced to take public transport to get to the National Television Awards.

The ‘This Morning’ host was en route to London’s O2 Arena when she got caught up in traffic and so decided to hop on the Underground instead.

Cue many bemused commuters and London Underground staff who caught sight of Amanda slumming it on the Jubilee line.

The star took to Twitter to share her woes, tweeting: “Gave up. Traffic hideous toNTA so me and MrVermaak got the tube,” she tweeted.

Amanda looked stunning in a floor-length, black gown, although we bet she was feeling the cold what with it being backless.

Luckily her date came to the rescue by lending her his suit jacket to keep warm.
