The announcement was made on the official ‘Strictly’ Twitter and Facebook pages, on Wednesday (17 August).
Fashion model Daisy said in a statement: “I am used to being on the catwalk and campaigns of major fashion brands with lots of eyes on me but this is completely different from anything I have ever done before.
“My family and friends and I adore ‘Strictly’, so when the chance came up to take part – I jumped at it!
“I am itching to get started and am so looking forward to learning a new skill,” she added.
Daisy was discovered at the age of 15, and has since gone on to front major fashion campaigns for some of the biggest labels in the world.
She has also turned her hand to acting, starring in a number of independent films, and also released a sweet treat cookery book.
Daisy joins TV personality pop singer Louise Redknapp, ‘Pop Idol’ winner Will Young, former Labour MP Ed Balls, presenter Laura Whitmore, ‘BBC Breakfast’ regular Ore Oduba, former ‘Xtra Factor’ host Melvin Odoom, and ex-’Hollyoaks’ actor Danny Mac on this year’s line-up.
More contestants will be announced in the coming days, ahead of the new series’ launch next month.
