Here’s something to get your stomach rumbling on a Friday afternoon.
Bakers in America have made the world’s largest key lime pie, which is estimated to weigh almost 1000lbs (454kg).
The pie, which is eight feet wide and will serve 2000 people, was created by chefs David Sloan and Mark Pierson in Boston, Massachusetts.
The mammoth creation includes the juice of 5760 key limes, 200 pounds of graham crackers and 55 gallons of sweetened condensed milk.
Although it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to replicate the sheer size of this drool-worthy delicacy, chef David Sloan is the author of The Ultimate Key Lime Pie Cookbook, which will tell you all you need to know to replicate the incredible pie on a smaller scale.
