If ever there was a reason to check that you’ve uploaded the right document to an email, it’s this.
A teenager in Scotland was left red-faced after accidentally attaching a Jamie Oliver recipe for chilli beef to a job application instead of her CV.
Heather McNab, 18, from Bridge of Allan, made the gaffe as she applied for a job as a lettings and sales negotiator.
But it wasn’t until she received a response from the employer that she was made aware of her mistake.
Clearly seeing the funny side of the situation, Heather uploaded the email to Twitter, which has since been retweeted more than 6,000 times.
Speaking to Buzzfeed, she said: ‘People keep replying to the original tweet, telling me how it’s made their day and they’ve never laughed so much in their life, and that’s so good to hear, especially how I was so unbelievably embarrassed at first.
‘There’s also a lot of people saying things like “you should have got the job if you promised to make the chilli” and if only they were right, because I’m starting to believe they may not see me as a viable candidate now.’
On the off chance that this article has now made you hungry, here’s the link for a Jamie Oliver chilli beef recipe.
