A TV presenter who saved up for a trip of a lifetime has documented his horror on a ‘filthy’ first class British Airways flight.

Owen Thomas spent around £9,000 on a holiday to St Lucia in the Caribbean.

But the news presenter was left shocked and appalled by the dirty conditions he discovered in first class.

He filmed the evidence in a video entitled ‘British Airways first class – filth Class’.

Dirt and dust is clearly visible in the short clip.

He says: ‘It is absolutely filthy. You see the stains down here.

‘It’s when you open your seat, the real horror begins.

‘This is first class. This is British Airways first class. It’s disgusting.’

He uploaded the video to YouTube and Twitter.

A spokesperson for BA said: ‘We have contacted our customer to apologise. We are very sorry that on this occasion we have fallen short of our usual high standards.

‘We pride ourselves on delivering a relaxing and pleasant experience in First, and are taking immediate action to address this issue.’
